Fighting The Winter Blues

Winter can be a tough time – the weather is cold, the days are short and dark, and it’s easy to feel down. But don’t worry – there are plenty of things you can do to keep yourself feeling good during the winter months. Let’s explore.

Here at She’s Got Leggz, one thing we know for sure that always helps fight the winter blues is getting dressed in cozy leggings and your favorite sweater or hoodie. Leggings are not only super comfortable, but they come in lots of fun colors and patterns that can help brighten up even the gloomiest winter days. You’ll not only feel great, you’ll look great! Try a pair of our Bright Eyes leggings and a Pink Hoodie – boom – instant happiness!

Another way to stay feeling good is to focus on eating healthy foods. I know, I know – it’s so tempting to reach for unhealthy snacks in the winter, but then after we do we still don’t feel better. Instead, let’s focus on eating plenty of fruits and vegetables to give yourself a boost throughout the season. From our friend Donna Rivard at Wellness by the Water, here is a great article on how to get veggies into your smoothie, sometimes without even noticing them!

And don’t forget about having fun! While it can be hard to motivate yourself in the cold months, it’s important to make time for activities that you enjoy. Whether it’s playing board games with friends, or going on a snowshoe walk in the park, make a point of getting out of the house and doing something fun to help lift your spirits during the winter. We found this fun activity for creating bird feeders for your yard. Get creative building them, then get outdoors for a bit to hang them, and then watch the birds enjoy these feeders as you are snuggled up on the couch, in your leggings of course, with a nice cup of cocoa!

So don’t let winter get you down – focus on taking care of yourself and having a bit of fun to keep you feeling great all season long! And good news – we only have 20 days until Spring!

 Go enjoy some winter!
